SolarSaver is the product of an intensive one-week App Challenge hosted by Esri Canada. It is designed with the goal of informing homeowners about the financial and environmental benefits of rooftop solar energy. The accompanying video is a demonstration of the apps functionality and user interface. Out of 20 teams across Canada, SolarSaver was awarded first place, with an all-inclusive trip to San Diego for the International Esri User Conference in June as the prize!
Exploring Eastern Ontario is a short film I created using footage acquired during the summer of 2015. It includes aerial video captured with a DJI Phantom, and several HDR timelapses taken with a Canon Rebel T2i and Sigma 10-20mm. The video features such places as Kemptville, Johnstown, Brockville, South Mountain, and Andrewsville. Please enjoy!
With improved spatial resolution of 3D datasets, visualizing and sharing the information is becoming increasingly more important. Flythroughs of 3D data can be useful in presentations, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder meetings. PCI Geomatica's FLY! software was used to create the video on the left, along with supplementary footage from Google Earth Pro.
